Ametris Selling the final inventory of ActiGraph GT9X Link wearables devices and transitioning into end-of-life support

On August 23, 2023, Ametris (formerly ActiGraph) formally announced the sunsetting of GT9X Link wearable devices. Ametris will continue to provide technical support. However, supplemental inventory will no longer be available.

Over the past two years, we have remained committed to supporting ongoing studies by providing both technical support and supplemental inventory for the GT9X device. In parallel, we introduced the ActiGraph LEAP®, a multi-sensor device, that offers a high level of data comparability across our product lines and serves as a strong replacement option for previous models.

While discounted inventory remains, GT9XLink devices and accessories are available for purchase on a first come, first served basis. For details, including pricing and availability, please reach out directly to your Ametris sales representative.

As we conclude the product’s end-of-life phase, Ametris remains dedicated to supporting research teams. We offer a comprehensive suite of next-generation wearable digital health technologies—including the wGT3X-BT and ActiGraph LEAP—designed for remote, continuous measurement of physical activity, sleep, and movement behavior. These newer models are compatible with the ActiLife and CentrePoint platforms, with backward-compatibility and robust data comparability across device generations

Ametris' end-of-life plan for the GT9X Link is as follows:

Continued Support: Ametris will continue to provide technical support for active ongoing studies using GT9X Link devices.

Migration Assistance: Ametris is committed to facilitating a smooth technology transition for our customers. It is recommended that new studies move forward with our more advanced wearable DHT options like the ActiGraph LEAP. Backward compatibility has always been a top priority for Ametris, so our team has performed extensive testing to ensure a high level of data comparability across device models.

For customers currently using ActiLife software with the GT9X Link in their studies, Ametris is pleased to announce that ActiLife can now be used to retrieve accelerometer data (epoch only initially) from ActiGraph LEAP.

Researchers planning to use the GT9X Link in an upcoming study are encouraged to contact their designated Ametris account manager to discuss personalized solutions that best suit their team’s needs. For further assistance, visit the ActiGraph Support Center.

Moving forward, Ametris will continue to deliver innovative solutions to the market as a result of our team’s dedication to research, development, and patient-centricity.
